I think the picture was taken in Saudi Arabia. The two men hold the paper written “Face Book”. This picture shows us the effect of the Internet. We could make friends if they live in far country and get a lot of information about overseas. World is becoming smaller and smaller because of the Internet. I think the two men knew each other by Face Book and became friends.

The two women may be family, mother and daughter. The mother doesn’t recognize her

friends and even her family because of aging, so the daughter has to take care of the mother. It is hard for the daughter to help her mother, but thanks to it, the daughter appreciates how much the mother had to go through when the daughter was a child.

I think the picture 4 was taken in somewhere in the US. People in the picture found something thrilling, for example car accidents or fighting people. They would decide to drive safely or not to argue with someone.

something new

Hello everyone.  Today's topic is "something new".   Some of you have started something new since you enterd this university.  I think everytime when we begin to do something new, we need a lot of courage, and it is very hard to get used to the new thing.  About me, I started part-time job for the first time in my life after entering university, and of course it was too hard to get used to it.  I thought the job was boring at the beginning, but  now it is wothwhile to do.  I think it is imprtant when we start something new to endure.
We ought to believe we will be good at the new thing as the time goes by. 
Now, I want to start new instruments, for exmanple bass and drums.  I sometimes play the guitar, but thesedays I am fed up with it.   May be it takes long time to become familiar with it, but practice solve it.

Hello everybody. Do you like to travel? Have you ever been to any countries or places you were moved? Today, I will talk about traveling.

 I have been to some countries and I think those experiences gave me something very valuable. I think traveling have many advantages. For example, it makes us well informed. Touching the foreign cultures broaden our horizons.

 I think the more we know about foreign cultures, the more we know what Japan and Japanese culture is. We can see similarities and differences or good and bad points between Japan and foreign countries.

culture

Each countries have different cultures, which make the countries characteristic.
The most strange(?) culture, I think, is taking off the shoes before entering the house in Japan.
I always take off my shoes when I enater my house of course, but I feel it is a litttle troublesome.
I want to live in the house which I do not need to take off my shoes in the future.
Next is the strange culture in foreign countries.
It is sometimes usual to hug someone when they meet or leave.
When I stayed a farm in Australia, the host mother hug me when I leave the farm.
Of course I know foreign countries have culture like that but  it made me very surprise.
Did you experience some surprizing strange culture in some foreign countries?

Autumn

 Hello everyone.
Today, I will explain my autumn plan.
I will make enough money to travel  in  my spring vacation by doing part-time job because  I decided to visit many countries in each vacation.
I want to go to India or some other places in Asia in my spring vacation and it costs me a lot of money.
So I have to work hard!
After all, my autumn plan is to do part-time job.

Keeping in Touch

Hello everybody.
All of you have many friends, and some of your friends are very good enough to call best friens.
There are some junior high school  or high school period's friends and you don't keep in touch with  some of them.
I have friends like that too.
I can remember thier face and name but don't keep in touch with them.
They and I are still friends I think, but it feels a little sad.
When I meet friends like that, it is very fun to conversation.
I feel it is very imprtant to keep in touch .
Why don't you contact your old friends?

marriage

This time, I would like to tell you about my thought of marrigae.
I think some of you in this class want to get married, and probably a few of you have clear thought of iedal
partner.
To tell the truth, I want to get marry so much.
It is very ease to live single and I can do what I want.
Although I said so, if I come to love someone too deep to marry, I don't know what I do.
If I get married, I like to separete our bedroom and it saves our privacy.
If there are someone who want to marry very very very much, please tell me a lot of good points!

scary experience

It was when I was 12 years old.
I played in the yard with my class members doing "keidoro".
I ran away from my frind because I did a role of thief.
At the time, something happend and my friend's front teeth was stuck into my head!
Although I felt strong pain, I thought it was not so serious.
Then I touched my head and found it spilled much blood!
I rushed to a school  infirmary and went to a hospital.
A doctor didn't suture my wound but he stapled it!
The pain of stapling was very short but very strong, so I shouted.
I don't want to experience things like this never!

my favorite season

My favorite season is winter.
The biggest reason is I like a cold day.
I want to go out in such a day even if I wear many clothes.
I think you all like to sit in a "kotatu" eating oranges and the time is very relaxable time.
Although I like winter the best, I like summer too, and I don't like autumn and spring so much, so I mean I like the season which I can feel the weather clearly.
It is a little cold and warm in spring and autumn, I wonder if I should wear long sleeves or short sleeves.
Someday I want to play winter sports, for example snowboard.
Snowboarding must feel very exciting !
Is there anybody likes winter the best?

Summer Vacation

This summer vacation, I went to England.
I looked arround in London, Oxford and Windsor.
In London, I went to many sightseen spots like famous churches and I had never seen that very great churches.
Although  it was raining and very cold when I visited Oxford, the Marton college which is oldest in the world,
that experience was very nice.
I visited Windsor castle which is the biggest castle still now used by loyal  family.

Summer Vacation

I will spend al of my summer vacation practicing boat.
We have a big tournament in summer so we must practice it hard.
We have 10 days off in September and I have a plan to go to England by myself.
I will visit there with one of my friends, but he has to do part-time job.
I'm very looking forward to go there.

Poster Presentation

The presentation we did were very  difficult and I think you all tried hard to succeed in it.

How do you think about your presentation?

I think my presentation was not good because of my strange English and too simple poster.

I regret now that I should make my poster more colorful and the part of movie’s outline shorter.

If I had another opportunity to do presentation, I would pay more attention about it.

As listened some of my classmates’ presentation, I thought you were good at speaking English.

Anyway, this presentation is valuable experience for all of us.

Difference of Opinion

I think the biggest difference between men and  women is how often they speak.

It is usually said that womem speak more than men and I think it is correct

The reason why I think so, women often try to keep the harmony in the group and men don't try to do so.

I can't say which is bettter.
Sometimes it is better to speak more and sometimes it is better to keep quiet, that depends on a situation.
Besides, I have another opinion about the difference between men and women.
I think men are strong and wemen are sensitive.
I have my opinion about the difference between men and wemen, but it is hard to write all in this page.

recent life

These days, I am very busy because of many reports, presentations and club activity.
I belong to boat club and its practice and training is very hard.
I didn't attend the training last Tuesday and Wednesday because I had a cold.
With the same reason, I haven't finished my reports and preparation of presentations. I must make my best efforts to finish it.
 Recently I think I should study English harder in order to make my score increase because I want to study adroad as a exchange student but my score is not enough to do so.
And nowadays many paople stay my house.
It is very fun to talk with them till late at night but I am very sleepy!
After all my recent life is very interesting.

Story 2 continue

It all started on a nice sunny day last April. All the kids in school were excited to be going to the zoo, but I was especially excited. I love animals and picnics, and going to the zoo is having both at the same time.

At the zoo, we got to see different animals in their cages and some of them were getting fed by their guards. Each of us had a favorite animal, and mine was the Elephant.

It was all going well, until Sam decided to mess around with the lock on the monkeys' cage and then all of the monkeys ran out of the cage.

They worshiped Sam as a god  because they became free thanks to him, and they disappeared somewhere.

Everybody sought Sam, but they couldn't find him.

A few years later, Sam and monkeys appeared and satrted a war with human beings.

To everybody's surprise, Sam became the king of the monkeys.

Sam and monkeys won the war and human beings wiped out. 

They dominated the world, earth became the Planet of the Apes. 

Suddenly, I woke up. It was just only a dream.

But a lot of monkeys were lying next to me on the bed!

about my family & neighborhood

 I live in apartment at Kotoen by myself.  

 Living alone is very sad, so I want to have a pet with me, for example dogs or rabbits.

Someone lives next to my room but I have never meet him.
My family lives in Oita.
My father is a doctor and my mother has no job.
I have a older sister and younger brother.
My sister is 24 years old and lives in Osaka. My brother is 17 years old and lives in Oita with my parents.
There is one of my friend's house in front of my house in Oita, and he now is a student of kwansei gakuin university.
Most of my friend say Oita is country but it is less rural than they thought, so visit there once.

                                                 

The Country I Would Like to Live

I have no country where I would like to live.

 I have never been to many countries, so I don't know which country is best for me to live.  In order to find the country to live, I want to go a lot of countries, for example London. 

The reason why I want to visit there is that there are many famous and great places like Stonehenge, Westminster Abbey or British Museum.

 By going there, I can feel the history of London.

I want to eat fish and chips too, because altough I heard about it, I have never eat it.

Besides, it is often rainy or soft weather in London.
I like to live in easy in house during the rainy day, so altohugh I have never been there, the biggest choice to live is London.

recent life

It is getting hotter and hotter, so I can feel summer is coming.  These days, I get used to my life and make some friends. At the same time, I am assigned a lot of reports and presentation and it is hard to finish. But it is better for me than having nothing to do.  I must do some of my presentation in English but the Japanese used in the textbook is very difficult , so I have to make effort to understand the Japanese!  But according to a teacher, university students in foreign countries study harder than Japanese university students. I must devote myself to my studies as well as them. And I have a plan to do a part-time job because I want to save money until summer vacation in order to go abroad. I will do my studies and part-time job hard to enrich my life more. 

childhood memory

I have some memories in my childhood.  The most impressive one is visiting forign countries.
I went to Dominica when I was 5 years old  , U.S.A  when 7 years old , Korea when 14 years old and  Australia when 17years old.  Although I was in Dominica and U.S.A for a few mounths , I don't  remember my days in Dominica at all because I was very young and  I remember sleeping in U.S.A because of my jet lag.  I was in Korea and Australia for only a few days but I could experience a very valuable time.
In Korea, although it located next to Japan , I could come in touch with the different culture and found it interesting. In Australia , I stayed on a firm for the first time in my life at Cairns and experienced many meanigful things. I lived in there using English only and decided to make my best efforts to master it . Austlaria was a very beautiful country and it made me relax.
Although I don't experienced a lot of forign countries , I will create many memories.

what I like about Japan

There are some reasons why I like Japan.  First , there are some beautiful places to visit.  For example Kyoto is good spot to visit because there are many old temples . When I see them , I feel the Japanese history . Second , there are four seasons and I can enjoy the different landscape , weather and foods.  I have fun to swim in the sea in summer and to do skate or eat "nabe" with my friends in winter. It is suitale to take a walk in spring and I think that it is good to feel Japan is becoming colder and colder in autumn.

 My name is Masaya Wakisaka and please call me "wacky". I am from Oita which is famous for its  hotsprings.  I was in Dominica when I was 5 yaers old but I cannot speak Spanish at all.   My hobby is  playing volleyball , reading books and listenig to music.  I played vollyball for 9 years but I won't to play it at kwansei university.  My favorite book is "Haru(spring)" written by Kiyoshi Shigematu  and  song is  "fire sign"  sang by BUMP OF CHICKEN. I have ever been to America , Australia , Dominica and Korea.  I want to visit many forign countries to learn about their cultures and to communicate with many people.  My dream is to become a diplomat , a  functionary of the United Nations or a newscaster. In order to make my dream come true , I will make my best efforts.  I eager to make a lot of friends , so  when you see me at school , please talk to me saying "Hi , wacky!".
